This Californian 1962 LHD Austin Healey Sprite was the subject of a major restoration stateside before being imported to the UK.
The engine is a 948cc BMC A series unit with some modifications including flat top pistons, a 1098 cc cylinder head and a new clutch and pressure plate. The car’s current mileage is just under 85000 miles.
The Iris Blue paintwork looks fantastic and the overall quality of finish gets admired wherever she goes. All chrome work is in excellent condition throughout. The dashboard retains its original covering and looks great for it, with the bucket seats and doors re-trimmed in a mid-blue leather.
The usefully modified twin carb engine is nicely detailed and starts on the button. The gearbox is also in excellent working condition as are the clutch and braking system.
This is a very well sorted car that has clearly benefited from living in the States for many years as much of the metalwork appears to be original.
Sold with a fresh MOT this is a cracking little car with bags of fun and charm in equal measures that is just crying out for its next new owner.
