As Aston Martin neared the end of production of their V8, a limited number of cars were produced with the ‘S’ suffix.
The V8S was used as a forerunner to the much praised and sought-after Oscar India/V8 Vantage, featuring improved power, handling, comfort and reliability.
With the Oscar India/V8 Vantage having seen huge price increases over recent years, prices for these cars are now out of reach for many, and enthusiasts are now tipping the V8S as the ‘next big thing’.
With only 38 cars produced, this V8S is presented in the attractive combination of Dubonet red with Black leather and a ZF manual gearbox,
Being part of a large private collection and having covered 78,000 miles, the service history and documentation can only be described as exhaustive, representing an excellent opportunity for the investor and enthusiast alike.
Invoices suggest that the car underwent a light restoration in 1996, however despite the relatively small distance covered since then, it now wears a patina that despite being necessary, some might want improve upon.
Whether it be a full restoration, a light bit of fettling or to be used as is, we’re sure that this Aston Martin V8S will do any new owner proud – not just financially but as a gorgeous piece of 1970’s design and engineering.
