At the 1995 Geneva Auto Show, Automobili Lamborghini SpA presented their latest evolution of the Diablo series – The Diablo SV – where the SV stands for Sport Veloce just as it did on the legendary Miura SV 25 years previously.
The SV was based on the standard Diablo and therefore lacked the four-wheel drive of the VT. Combining the two wheel drive configuration with a power increase to 510 bhp produced a car which is highly entertaining, but demands respect from the driver. Perhaps in recognition of this, the SV was fitted with larger front brakes and an adjustable rear spoiler.
This stunning RHD Diablo SV is certainly one for the serious Lamborghini collector, as UK RHD SVs were produced in very small numbers – there are only 13 currently licensed or on SORN.
Presented in a very rare metallic green with a black leather and alcantara interior, the seats are piped in a contrasting green. An SVR carbon rear wing has been fitted, along with a monumental sports exhaust system.
Unlike many Diablos, the service history is extensive, with all of the books and tools present.
With Lamborghini prices climbing sharply, this unique example represents a truly show-stopping investment.
