Built by Paul Hinkley of P.D.Sportscars Developments, this AK427 Cobra is not to be confused with other lesser cars available.
In immaculate Pearlescent Tahiti Blue paint, with black Connelly hide interior, the car presents superbly, sitting on 16" 3-piece Halibrand Alloys with Pirelli P6000 all round
Interior features include a Motolita Steering wheel, AC pedal pads, full Smiths instrument Package, Heater System, and Tonneau Cover, but it's mechanically where this car betters other similar looking cars by a large margin.
Less than 400 miles ago, Chris Critchley of the renowned Ricardo CES re-built the Chevy engine. Benefitting from Chris's extensive experience including the development of the Mclaren P1 Engine, the entire project took 8 months to complete. Undertaken in controlled labs at Ricardo, the block was precision bored to 6.8 litre race-spec and incorporates Hydraulic Flat Tappets, High Output Camshaft, High Ratio Roller Rocker Arms, NASCAR Aluminium Race Heads, Holley 4 Barrel High Performance Carburettor, Victor JR Aluminium Manifold. High Volume Oiling System, Low Profile Sump for optimum wet sump oil control and ground clearance.
The result is a super powerful, stable Engine that will outperform most cars in the UK market. The horsepower is in the 500bhp range, and more power can be extracted with a further MAP if required.
Finally, the new engine was run-in for 400 miles and tuned by CCK Historic.
With 'no stone left unturned', this is undoubtedly, one of the most meticulously built cobra engines in the UK.
Further technical highlights include a 5 Speed Manual Gearbox with Overdrive, Salisbury LSD with power lock 3.31:1 ratio, Servo Assisted, Dual Circuit Braking System, Four Pot Callipers and Vented Discs, fully tuned independent suspension system, with Nylon Bushes to front, up rated road/race quality road springs all round, adjustable road /race shock absorbers with adjustable ride height and damping and balanced anti roll bar to front. The suspension system is set up and tuned for comfortable fast road use at the moment, but can be set up for any track use as required.
The steering gives fabulous feel and feedback of the road thanks to a specially developed "Sports Power Assisted Steering System" with 2.5 turns lock-to-lock, giving pin sharp handling.
Presented on a period correct 1969 G-reg plate, and correctly registered on the V5, the car has covered 16,500 miles since its original build.
The car is supplied with a plethora of documentation, will be given a new no-advisory MOT, a 6-month market-leading extendable warranty, and will be further subjected to our rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection prior to purchase.
