1986 (C) Porsche 911 CARRERA 3.2 BACK-DATE

This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2L offers a fantastic opportunity to own a professionally-built, magazine-featured, back-dated 911.

Both mechanically-sorted and significantly upgraded to produce 241bhp, it offers the next owner the opportunity to either modify and improve it further, or enjoy it just as it is.

Presented in Prussian Blue metallic with a navy blue leather interior, the car was previously owned by the Art Editor of '911 & Porsche World' magazine, and was used as the magazine's project car over an 18 month period in 2008.

As such, it has been heavily featured in the magazine. Seven of these articles are included in its vast history file (one of the largest file we've ever seen) along with invoices dating back to 1990, original book pack, MOTs dating back to 2003 and even the old tax discs.

Work completed as part of the project included:

New inner and outer sills and kidney bowls - Top-end engine rebuild to include new piston rings, ARP head bolts. timing chains, valves, guides, Super-Pro engine mounts, Gekkatec MAF unit, Magnacor plug leads and a Sachs clutch - Full engine detailing with a Hayward and Scott exhaust - Full gearbox rebuild by Mike Bainbridge with Super-Pro gearbox mounts and Rennshift shifter - Guard Transmission LSD - Bilstein dampers and Super-pro poly bushes with Sway-A-Way uprated torsion bars - 7x8x16 Fuchs style alloy wheels - Turbo track rod ends and anti-bump-steer rod ends - Goodridge braided brake hoses - Full leather interior featuring 964 sports seats and a Momo Steering wheel.

Owned by its previous owner for the past 13 years, the car was back-dated in 2010 by the renowned Rick Findlow of 911 Retro-Works, with a full engine rebuild being completed by HP Motorsport in 2018, and has covered a mere 3, 000 miles since.

We then sold the car too its current owner in 2022, and it has been kept in a car storage facility ever since.

Put simply, this car is an absolute joy to drive, makes a great noise, and is admired wherever it goes.

The car will be supplied with it's huge history file, Porsche book pack, two keys, the remaining no-advisory MOT until December 2026, and a 12-month market-leading, extendable warranty.
