This superb 1986 UK-market ‘C16-code’ Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Back-Date can only be described with superlatives.
Finished in metallic Silver with a black leather interior, this is a car that ticks all of the boxes for someone who wants the most classic of 911, but a more modern and usable version.
Acquired by its current owner in 2019 following 'one family ownership' since 2001, he commissioned the renowned Sam Corke of Impact Bodywork to back-date the car to 1970's styling using Porsche OEM parts and steel panels. The brief was to produce the very best car possible, and the result is exceptional.
From the unmarked paintwork, to the original 2.7RS Fuchs alloys wrapped in Pirelli P6000 tyres, the detailed engine bay, and the newly re-trimmed interior - wherever you look, this car is fantastic!
And the little details mattered too - black ‘Porsche’ decals, gold Porsche badges, silver ‘petal’ spokes, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, the period-correct '911' related number plate, and a Bluetooth compatible Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio, all adding to the classic look he sought.
On the move, the car is an absolute joy to drive, with its naturally aspirated 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-six sending 231bhp to the rear wheels via its rebuilt five-speed manual transmission.
The paperwork accompanying the car is astoundingly vast, and accounts for many years of the car being SORN between 2005 and 2018, with the accompanying service books showing an incredible 26 stamps.
With many other lesser 'Back-Dates' featuring reproduction parts and Fibreglass panels, this steel-bodied car stands apart as being a very special car.
Supplied with two sets of keys, original Porsche book pack, the incredible file of historical paperwork and invoices, a 12-month market-leading extendable warranty, and its no-advisory MOT until April 2026, the car will also be given an additional service and further subjected our rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection prior to release.
